Join the CAIRN Think Tank
CAIRN is the Community AI Research Network of Global Solidarity Advocates. It is not a university department. It is a studio where residents, teachers, students, veterans, and small-business owners study a problem they already live with.
How a term works
Six to ten fellows. Ninety days.
Each fellow owns one question.
AI is a research assistant, not the author.
The term ends with one 4 to 8 page brief and one public conversation.
Questions for the first term
Which families in Prince William and Fairfax cannot get tutoring, and what actually blocks them?
What happens when students use AI tutors: learning gains or homework substitution?
Which public forms confuse residents most, and can a plain-language walkthrough reduce errors?
Who should apply
You do not need a graduate degree. You need a question, a few hours a week, and a willingness to write in public. Apply by emailing staff@gsa-cairn.org with three sentences: who you are, the question you want to study, and the community it belongs to.
